My Reflection

I chose my fiction story for my reflection. To be a really good fiction writer you need ideas that are really unique. You should keep notes of characters in your story, draw them, know their features by heart. Create a character who struggles with an issue that is important to you. Also know what you are going to write about so you don’t write something that makes no sense at all. Clearly let the reader know what the character wants and what obstacles stand in the way.

I think it is also important to know what you are writing and not get off track when you write. For example don’t write “the next day he went to a base ball game, base ball is his favorite sport lots of people don’t like it he does though because he likes running around and…”, do write “The next day Jimmy went to a base ball game because it is his favorite sport, he went home and had dinner…”. Do not go off topic. Use a story map to outline the story. When you write, include dialog and write detail resolve the story so there are no loose ends.

If you can’t think of a story watch TV, go on the computer, get inspired! But then do some research for the topic. Even though it is fiction, some topics can be based off a real thing like history or wars. If you write about things that interest you, it should come out better because you would work on it more and think about it more. For example, If some one wrote about World War II and they were into sports then it wouldn’t be that detailed. If some one interested in WWII then they would put so much into it.

I think I created a good conflict for my character in my story. I really wanted my character to overcome his problem. I can improve my writing with more details so the reader can picture the story like a movie in their mind.

I think I have done a very good job on my piece and I hope you think so, too. I worked on this project hard because I enjoy writing.
